Soft and lightweight, aluminum alloy conducts both heat and electricity. Flat stock with an H14 (1/2 Hard) temper is strain-hardened only (without additional thermal treatment) to a half-hard temper. Alloy 3003 offers excellent corrosion resistance, good formability and weldability, and poor machinability.
